Summer to Fall

Just because it is now October and the temperatures have started to drop doesn’t mean you have to put away your summer dresses. Toss on a vest, a jacket, accessorize or layer. A Summer-to-Fall outfit can pair your summer dress with textured tights, ankle booties and a shrunken jacket. Here’s how to get the bright summer look for this Fall:
- Start with either a minidress or a basic summer sundress – depending on the dress, you might want to wear a belt at the waistline to give it a bit more structure
- Keep your legs covered with tights, leggings, or boots
- Layer on a sweater vest, which contracts with the slim fit of a minidress, or a structured tuxedo jacket with a floaty sundress for a look that is playful, yet serious
- Finish off the look with a light scarf or other accessories
