Jean Shrimpton quoted in Vogue, September 1964: “I may not look like a Board of Trade official.  At the risk of sounding like one I would like to say that I am not pessimistic about the future.  Our assets are unrivalled.  Inside this issue you will see some of Britain’s amazing new achievements.  Some of them are frivolous.  All are wildly exciting.  I am one of them.”
