Roaring Twenties

Even though there is no new episode of Gossip Girl tonight (sigh – how will we live not knowing who that mysterious woman Chuck encountered is; or whether Rufus and Lily break up; or when Jenny’s secret life as a drug dealer will be disclosed?!) we did enjoy Blair’s look last week – which got us thinking about the fashion of the 1920s.  The 1920s is when fashion actually entered the modern era and women began to wear much more comfortable skirts and pants, freeing themselves from past constricting fashions.  Generally, it is thought of as the Roaring Twenties, and here are some ladies who look lovely in their roaring outfits of the twenties!  Remember, you do not have to be Blair or a celebrity to dress the decade – just put on a beaded skirt or dress with a jeweled headband and sparkly clutch!
