ABCs of Fashion

As Los Angeles Fashion week kicks off tonight with the GenArt event, Fashionable Earth wanted to take a step back to a time when life was simpler: kindergarten.  In honor of that simple time, and in respect of the fact that this week is pretty stressful with shows, designers, profiles, parties and events, we are giving you the ABCs of style and fashion until we can can cover the details behind it all.

A is for ANIMAL PRINTS—from bold to delicate they are always spot-on.
B is for BOWS—add a little embellishment to allow your outfit to be bow-tiful.

I is for INNOVATIONS—never be afraid to try something new when it comes to fashion.
J is for JEANS—skinny, straight, distressed, boot leg, flare, “real denim” or even jackets; the possibilities are endless.
K is for KITTEN HEELS—perfect for the short or tall, they elongate the leg without being uncomfortable.
L is for LACE—ooh lala, play it up, show them off.
M is for MAGIC MARKER—because there are so many DIY projects which can start from a marker.
N is for NECKLACES—gold, silver, chunky, thin; you name it, wear it and your outfit will have just the right amount of glitz.
O is for ORGANIC FLOWERS—all flowers are sweet-smelling, but these are also untainted with pesticides or exploitative labor.

Q is for QUINTESSENTIALS—the blazer, the boots, the button down, the jeans, and the sweater.

U is for UNDERGARMENTS—wear them; commando is a no no.
V is for V-GAN V-NECK—these organic cotton shirts are perfect for a sunny day out or for layering.
W is for WINTOUR—even Anna recycles.
X is for X-QUISITE COLORS—the right color can do so much for a person, rich jewel tones especially.
Y is for YOUTH—we should enjoy it and have fun while it is here; it won’t be here forever.
